I wish McFarlane would expand their horizons.
They either stay strictly in Arizona or in a few particular civic centers in one basic area of the country.

There are a couple somewhat 'big' colisseums and civic centers around, albeit the nearest one is 2 hours away in Roanoke, VA.

...I did a bunch of shows there, years ago. For the most part, they were a bust.
...we just went to display, but I felt bad for dealers trying to make a living.
...nothing against VA, 'cause I love it down there, you just happen to be in an area that isn't much into that genre.
...it just can't compete with areas like San Diego, or Chicago.
...shows need to go where the money is!
...being from VA, I'm sure you know what's happening in NASCAR today. Many of the old tracks are losing their second dates to more populated areas, where the money is.
...it costs a fortune to put on any kind of a show these days. You can't blame promoters for where they have their shows, it's just business.
...one more thing, it sounded like we pick where the shows go, we don't. We only pick the show we go to.
...the fact that the store / museum / showroom, is in Tempe, Arizona, is only because that's where Todd and the business offices are.
...now, if you want to venture Northward at some point, I'll give you a tour of the New Jersey office, where we actually make the prototypes. That'll kick the crap out of any show you can ever go to. So, just let me know. [img]wink.gif[/img]
